Cycloheximide

Cycloheximide is an anti-fungal antibiotic produced by the bacterium Streptomyces Griseus (S. Griseus.). It is a highly toxic and Carcinogenic/Teratogenic terial with significant side effects, including birth defects, where applications exist purely for in-vitro research and not for human use. These can include selection of Cycloheximide resistant strains of yeasts and fungi, for example, in beer fermentation.
